7 Card Stud Poker

7 Card Stud is played with up to eight players at a table.  The goal is to create the best 5-card poker hand out of seven cards.  Each player will receive a total of seven cards: three down cards and four up cards. 

The dealer will deal the first two cards face-down to each player and the third card face-up, beginning with the player sitting to the dealer’s immediate left.

Next, a betting round will occur and this is a forced bet for the player showing the lowest card.

The dealer then deals the fourth card face-up to each player, which is followed by a round of betting.  At this time, if an open pair is showed, every player has the option of betting twice the structured bet amount.  (The option begins with the player showing the highest hand and is only for this betting round.)

Then the fifth card is dealt face-up to each player and followed by a round of betting.

Following that, the sixth card is dealt face-up to each player and followed by a round of betting.

Finally, the seventh card is dealt, this time face-down, to each remaining player in the game.  This is followed by a round of betting. 

The Face-Off!
Each player remaining in the hand will turn his or her three cards face-up on the table.  The dealer will read aloud all of the hands shown at this time.  The dealer will then declare the winner and award the pot to the highest 5-card poker hand.
